Regional characteristics of sea ice thickness in Canadian shelf and Arctic Archipelago measured by Ground Penetrating Radar

  • 摘要: 2010年春季, 利用探地雷达在加拿大北极群岛和陆架区对海冰厚度的空间分布特征进行了观测。结果表明, 该海域的海冰厚度在横跨陆架区存在明显的空间不均匀性。最大的平整海冰厚度出现在博登岛以南的陆缘冰区域, 达到(2.05±0.09)米。大陆架边缘的冰间水道重新冻结, 北侧浮冰的厚度达到(1.05±0.11)米, 而南侧陆缘冰的厚度略大, 达到了(1.24±0.13)米。观测断面最北点的冰脊厚度为2.5-3米, 此处平整浮冰厚度达到(1.54±0.22)米, 略薄于古斯塔夫阿道夫王子海的平整陆缘冰(1.67±0.16米)。
